A handover clean is not the same as wiping around belongings. Cleaners need space to vacuum and mop properly, open cupboards, reach corners and photograph the agreed areas after work. Boxes, bags and furniture slow the job down and can block parts of the paid scope.
When the $50 decluttering charge starts
Small, simple clearing work can start from $50 when it was not included in the original quote. This is not rubbish removal for a full move-out. If there are many items, food, loose rubbish or furniture, the job should be repriced before the team attends.
How to avoid a day-of-job price change
Send photos before booking if anything will remain in the property. If you are unsure whether a room is “empty enough”, show it in the walkthrough video. The quote can then state whether cleaning, decluttering or rubbish handling is included.
- Clear floors, benches, sinks, showers and cupboard interiors if they are included
- Remove food, loose rubbish and personal items
- Tell TYG about furniture that cannot be moved
- Keep power and water connected until the clean is finished
