A simple calculation
If two cleaners attend for two clock hours, each person has worked two hours. That is 2 cleaners × 2 hours = 4 cleaner-hours. At $65 per cleaner-hour, approved extra work would be $260—not $130.
When the $65 rate applies
The $65 rate is for work outside an already agreed home-cleaning scope and must be approved before it starts. The published apartment package remains the reference for work already included in that package.
Why builders cleaning has a different rate
Builders cleaning starts at $79 per cleaner-hour because construction dust, residue, staged work and equipment needs are different from routine home cleaning. The minimum is eight cleaner-hours, equal to $632. Two cleaners working four hours each reaches that minimum.
Where prices are mentioned, this guide uses TYG Cleaning’s published rates reviewed on 11 August 2026. The final price depends on the written condition-based scope.
