The main difference is the handover requirement

Move-in cleaning is for your own use before furniture and boxes block access. You decide which surfaces matter most. End-of-lease cleaning is for a property handover, so the agent or property manager may also have a checklist that needs to be compared with the quote.

Current TYG starting prices

For an easy-condition weekday Studio confirmed by video, move-in cleaning starts at $239 and end-of-lease cleaning starts at $269. The standard Studio bases are $249 and $289. Larger apartments use separate room-based tables, and the final total still depends on condition, access and extras.

What both services have in common

Both published bases assume the property is empty and cleared, with power and water connected and normal lift or one-level access. Carpet steam cleaning is separate. Heavy grease, mould, full-wall washing, appliance interiors, high or exterior glass, rubbish and extra balconies must be confirmed when relevant.

Which one should you request?

Choose move-in cleaning when the property is being prepared for you to occupy and there is no outgoing-tenancy handover. Choose end-of-lease cleaning when you are returning the property to an agent or landlord. If you are taking over a property after another tenant and the condition is poor, send a video rather than choosing by name alone.
